Unlinking PHI/PIII
COINS allows users to unlink PHI for participants, preventing the viewing of PHI/PII by study staff, while still allowing URSI coded, de-identified data to be accessed. This is done by preventing the linking of URSI with PHI details. This feature is instrumental in complying with IRB or Institution policies that require study staff to no longer have access to participant PHI/PII after certain time frames or after studies are no longer active.
