COINS Updates 07.23.15

Production Version 0.32.0 (7.21.2015)

  • Search by subject email (MICIS): you can now look up a subject by their email address with  Look up a subject.
  • Prevent disenrolled/phi unlinked from Participant Portal log in (p2): subjects that have been disenrolled or that have had their PHI unlinked are no longer able to log into Participant Portal. This is study specific.
  • Save data table sort/search options (All Tools): this feature saves all of the options (search, sort and show/hide columns) in data tables (oCOINS, Review Submissions, Tracker, List Studies, Users, ASMT Search, Conflict Resolution, List Instruments and Resume Entry tables) across sessions. For example, if you decide you would only like to see Assessment ID and the View button on the Conflict Resolution table, you can make those selections and the table will maintain them even upon logging out and back into COINS. Note, if you type something in the Search field, the text will remain as well unless you remove it. This is important to check if you notice your table is filtered in an unexpected way.
  • QBR export fix (QB): QBR has been fixed so that it does not export the data diagonally.
  • Radiology review letter filter (MICIS): this filter removes scans that had no anatomical data from being printed out in the batch PDF download.
  • New cache mode (oCOINS): you can choose which type of data entry you would like to cache in oCOINS. The two options are Data Entry Mode and Self Assess Mode. This is beneficial if staff will be collecting data in an interview style (the fields Missing Data and Don’t Know will be available as they are in regular data entry).
  • Shared instruments fix (oCOINS): when attempting to cache more than one study that shared an instrument, oCOINS would throw an error. This has been resolved. Note: if you cache more than one study with a shared instrument, the cache mode will have to remain consistent with the cache mode chosen for the first study cached with the shared instrument.

Delay in Release: Training Version 0.33.0 (7.24.2015) (Training database synced from production database 7.23.2015)

  • Server Side Tracker Table (MICIS): in effort to reduce the the memory impact and improve the end-user experience in the web-browser, data table server side rendering has been implemented for the tracker tables. This strategy improves browser memory performance by only maintaining pertinent data to the immediate view on the page. This resolves the issue of COINS not loading tracker tables that contain a large number of trackers/participants.
  • Coversheet fix (ASMT): you can now update by more than one field at a time and colliding assessments after updating the properties now work rather than returning a 2 without a C or F.
  • Radiology Review Letters fix (MICIS): when there are no letters that match the search criteria you will now see a message indicating this and there will be no link to download.
  • Meta Portal menu update (MetaPortal): the menu has been updated to remove the old Demos menu and changed “My Apps” to “Study Portals”. The style for the menu has also changed. This styling will soon be in MICIS and ASMT!
  • Participant self enrollment activation (p2): allows participants with existing an email address in MICIS to self enroll into recruitment studies via a DOB and email confirmation.
